Report on Ordinance No.__3_ of 1908.

I have examined the ace mpanying Ordinance, entitled

An Ordinance to authorzie the removal of Fire

Insurance Companies from the Register of Companies in

certain cases >

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to

the Governor's Instructions

The object of the legislation is to give to the

Governor-in-Council power to strike off the Register of

Companies any Fire Insurance Company which is proved to his

satisfaction to be financially so unsound as to be vir-

-tually fraudulent.
